The safety of our students and staff will continue to be our highest priority. In an effort to keep our school community fully informed, we will provide weekly updates indicating confirmed positive COVID-19 cases by building, as well as quarantine individuals due to possible exposure, for both students and staff. When reviewing the district statistics, please be aware, the numbers also include exposure outside of the district.
The Howell County Health Department, in connection with the West Plains School District, will follow up with individuals determined to be close contacts of a COVID-19 positive student or employee. Federal laws prohibit us from posting the direct names of a COVID-19 positive person. ***Only those who have been designated as probable close contacts or positive cases will be required to quarantine by the Howell County Health Department. Students and families or employees will be contacted individually by the Howell County Health Department if they are classified as probable close contacts.***
