South Central Career Center Makes Apprenticeship History


The South Central Career Center has recently become a fully Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor school with the Department of Labor. Missouri is second in the nation for youth apprenticeships, and SCCC is the first school in the state of Missouri.

West Plains High School Senior, Chevy Rodman, is the first registered participant in the SCCC apprenticeship program. Chevy is in the auto collision program, employed with Gobel's Collision. A signing ceremony recently marked the occasion with Chevy Rodman, Gobel’s Collision, his parents, Mr. Hoyle, Mr. Peterson, the Department of Labor, Jim Laughary - SCCC Director, and Josh Cotter - SCCC Assistant Director.
