My name is Elaina Martin.  My maiden name was Adkisson and I was born and raised right here is West Plains, Missouri.  I grew up going to Howell Valley Rural School grade Kindergarten through 8th and then graduated a Zizzer.  I'm very proud of my home town and am proud to say that I can be a part of one of the most important aspects of the town.  The school.  I previously worked as an office manager at a dental office for 15 years, but always had a passion to finish my degree that I started years previous.  I am married to Chad Martin and we will soon celebrate 18 years of marriage.  We have four children.  My boys are Brendan age 16 and Bryce age 11.  After having our boys, we knew that we wanted our family to grow through adoption.  In 2011 we completed our foster/adoptive licensing and began doing some fostering and respite care.  In 2013 we adopted our oldest daughter Madison Shyann.  She is 9 years old and has brought so much to our family.  In March of 2015 we were blessed with our youngest Shay Lynn who will begin Pre-School as a Little Zizzer this year.  All unique and blessings to our family, we feel so lucky.  I began working for the district (realizing my passion and given the opportunity to follow it) in October 2013.  After three years in the district and going to school, I am now completely excited to teach my first year of Kindergarten.
I want to be an inspiration to little minds and hearts and I want them to know they are one to me.

I have been married to my husband, Chad, for 18 years this September.  We have four wonderful
children ranging in ages 4-16.  My two boys are Bryce, age 11, and Brendan, age 16.  My daughters
blessed our lives through adoption and we are so proud we were chosen to be their parents.  My oldest
is Madison "Shyann" and she is nine years old.  Our youngest little princess will be starting the "Little
Zizzers" program at West Plains Elementary and is four years old.  Her name is Shay Lynn.
I am excited to start my first year as a Kindergarten teacher for West Plains.  I love spending time with
children and watching them grow and learn.  They all have such unique wonderfulness.
If I have been blessed to have your child in my class, know that I will advocate for your child's greatness
and I am excited to learn who they are as a little person.
