• South Central Career Center is planning to offer AM & PM sections of Information Technology during the 2018-2019 academic year for high school students.

In September, October, & November 2017, industry IT representatives from finance, higher education, private business, and public education met to discuss the addition of this program.  Additional meetings will be held in early 2018, but the committee has already identified core learning outcomes, teacher qualifications, and necessary equipment.  Plans are currently being implemented to begin the hiring process and submit enhancement grant applications for equipment and supplies.  The most critical step was completed in January 2018--gauging interest of sending school students.  This process yielded sufficient student interest to begin the hiring process.
