David M. Gohn - 2026

 

David M. Gohn is a distinguished graduate of West Plains High School Class of 1993 whose career reflects leadership, achievement, and dedicated service to his profession and community. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri–Columbia, a Juris Doctor and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law, and completed the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

He began his career as an attorney with Husch and Eppenberger in Springfield before returning to West Plains to serve his community. In 2003, he joined the Board of Directors of West Plains Bank and Trust Company and West Plains Bancshares, Inc. He later served as Senior Vice President, President and Chief Operating Officer, and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, the bank has continued to grow as a cornerstone financial institution in the region.

Mr. Gohn’s leadership extends throughout Missouri banking, including his service as Chairman of the Missouri Bankers Association for 2024–2025. He has also contributed his time and expertise to numerous civic, healthcare, educational, and youth organizations across the West Plains area.

A lifelong supporter of community development and local institutions, Mr. Gohn has consistently demonstrated a commitment to strengthening the region he calls home through service, leadership, and engagement.
