Mrs. Heather Miller
Hello! I'm Heather Miller and I am the counselor for South Fork Elementary as well as a counselor at the West Plains Middle School. The 2018-2019 school year will be my sixth year at West Plains R-7 and I feel so blessed to be a part of such an amazing school district!
My husband, Rob, and I are originally from New Madrid, Missouri, where we both graduated from New Madrid County Central High in 2002. In 2012, Rob took a job with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab in Willow Springs, which brought us to West Plains. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Truman State University in 2006, and I graduated with my Masters in School Counseling from Southeast Missouri State University in 2013. My first year in education I was a 2nd grade Assistant Teacher at Matthews Elementary in Matthews, Missouri. Prior to that I worked in the mental health field as a crisis counselor and as a Mental Health Associate for a large state psychiatric hospital.
Rob and I have been married for thirteen years in August and our son Drew is four. I am super excited that he will be a Preschool Zizzer this year!
I love St. Louis Cardinals baseball, reading, movies, going for walks, traveling, and spending time with my family.
