Ryan Smith (Head Boys and Girls Coach)
Coach Smith has been the Head Coach for West Plains High School swim teams since 2017. He has also been coaching Liberty (Mountain View) High School swim teams since 2015. He has 12 years of competitive swimming in Jefferson City, MO in leagues/conferences including USS/USA, YMCA, and Mid-MO. He has 19 total years of coaching experience. He currently teaches in the math department at West Plains after 11 total years at Liberty-MV (8 in choral music/theater and 3 in 7th grade math). He is a graduate of Western Governors University (Master of Arts in Mathematics Education), Drury University (Bachelor of Music Education), and Jefferson City High School.

Coach Lapham has been the Assistant Girls Coach for West Plains High School since 2022. Coach Cassidy is graduating from Western Governors University (Bachelor of Arts, in Elementary Education) and is a Garden Grove High School alum in Southern California. She has played soccer for 13 years, reffed and volunteer coached for 3 of the AYSO league/conferences in Southern California, played water polo all 4 years of high school including club and city leagues, has 4 years of competitive swimming along with volunteer coaching for 2. She is currently a paraprofessional for West Plains Elementary School in hopes of having her own classroom next school year. This will be her first year as a high school coach and is looking forward to many more years!cassidy.lapham@zizzers.org
