The West Plains R-VII School District announces the retirement of Superintendent Dr. Wesley Davis, effective June 30, 2027. The Board of Education will employ a Deputy Superintendent for the 2026–2027 school year who will work alongside Dr. Davis to ensure a smooth and seamless transition of leadership.

About Us
Welcome to the website of the award-winning West Plains R-VII School District located in south central Missouri, approximately 100 miles southeast of Springfield, Missouri, with an enrollment of approximately 2,700 students attending six schools K-12. The district provides tremendous opportunities for students ranging from science, technology, engineering and mathematics, Career and Technical Education, music, the arts, athletics, extracurricular activities and much more.
