FBLA District Leadership Conference Results
On Friday, February 6th, FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) competed in the District 14 Leadership Conference held at MSU-WP and the Civic Center. There are 20 schools that make up District 14. There are a variety of events students have to select from when competing. Students chose an interest area which best reflected their skills. Some students completed online testing in early January, and those results were awarded at event. Others prepared for individual speeches or group presentations presented to a panel of judges. Several students from West Plains High School placed in the top 5 of their events with four students receiving 1st place. Six students will advance to the State Leadership Conference to compete on April 12-14 in Springfield, MO.
The local FBLA President and West Plains High School student, Riley Grennan, did a great job organizing the Audio/Visual program and equipment during the opening and closing ceremonies. Kierstan Snider was elected as District 14 Vice President of Membership and Abi Wall sang the National Anthem during the opening ceremony.
