I have been a counselor in the West Plains R-VII district since 1991 serving as the elementary counselor for four years, a high school counselor for one year, and the middle school for the past twelve years.

Getting to know me:  I received a BSE in 1982 in Speech Pathology from Arkansas State University.  I was a Speech Therapist at Willow Springs, Missouri for four years.  I earned my MSE in Counseling from Arkansas State University in 1986.  I worked at Fair View R-XI school as a Speech Therapist and Counselor for two years.  I moved to Salem, Missouri where I was a Speech Therapist and Counselor at Green Forest school for two years.  We moved back to West Plains in 1990 and I worked at Richards R-V school as a Speech Therapist and Counselor. I came to West Plains in 1991 as the elementary counselor. While working here, I earned my Specialist degree in Educational Administration in 2005 from SMSU-Springfield.  I currently teach Introductory Psychology and Sociology classes at MSU-West Plains.  I have been teaching these classes for the past ten years and really enjoy the students there.

My husband works at Perennial Energy here in West Plains.  We have three girls. The oldest daughter  is 27 and lives in Kansas. The second graduated from WPHS in 2007 and is going to school in St. Louis. The youngest is a junior in high school and plays volleyball and soccer. I enjoy spending time with my family, scrapbooking, quilting, and other "crafty" hobbies.
