The cast list for Zizzer Theatre’s fall musical, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, has been posted in room 109, and by both building offices.

Speech and Debate has slashed its price for Student Planners, from $5 to $4.  Please see a team member or Mr. Liimatta in room 207 if you would like to purchase one while supplies last. 

Beta Club juniors and seniors interested in running for office must sign up in Mrs. Joiner’s room before the deadline Friday, Sept. 3. Nominations for candidacy will be closed at the end of the school day. Pick up campaign rules and nomination forms in Mrs. Joiner’s room (203).

 

Thursday, September 9th, West Plains High School will be hosting the Regional College Fair from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.The College Fair is for juniors and seniors only.  The College Fair is divided into two sessions.  The first session starts at 9:00 and goes until 9:40.  Seniors attend this session.  The second session starts at 9:45 and goes until 10:25.  Juniors attend the second session.  Students will report to their classes so that attendance can be taken.  They will be dismissed by intercom.  Thank you.  Rose Turnbough

 

 Future Teachers of America will meet Wednesday, September 8th in Mrs. DuBois’ room (232) at 8:00 am. This will be an informational meeting for anyone interested in joining FTA and learning about a career in education.

 

Attention Juniors:  Reminder—your absences during this school year could affect your eligibility for the COE program your senior year.  If you have too many absences your Junior year, you will not be allowed to leave campus for a COE job the first semester of your senior year.

 

No more schedule changes without parent/teacher initiation.

 

Any Junior interested in helping with Prom in the Spring needs to sign up with Mrs. Henry in room 233 to work the concession stand.

The DECA Student directory is in the process of being printed.  If you do not want your name, address, birthdate, or telephone number in the directory, you MUST sign the list in the career center office by Friday, September 10.

 

It's time for the DECA Student Directory Cover Contest! Pick up and turn your entry form in to the Career Center Office no later than Friday, September 11.  Entries received after that date will not be eligible for competition.
